Simply insert this adapter into the top end of the Yuu, this adapter can transform Yuu like a Native American flute. So, you play right away, without having to focus attention on the embouchure when first starting.

The name “Shakuhachi” means “1.8 shaku”, referring to its length.
“1.8 shaku” is “1 shaku and 8 sun”.
1 shaku is approx. 30.3cm.
10 sun is 1 shaku.
Therefore, length of “Shakuhachi” is 54.5cm.
Sir James Galway has commented as follows.
