JAPANESE SHAKUHACHI FLUTE STORAGE CARRY CASE BAG (For MEDIUM up to 2.0) Perry Yung.
A lively design; beige fabric embroidered with flowers of various bright colors as well as metallic swirls. At the end of the strings are statement tassels.
• Standard size dimensions: 31″ x 4″ (78cm x 10cm)
• Pictured shakuhachi flutes are not included.
• Plastic sleeves included for airtight sealing which is necessary to prevent bamboo flutes from cracking. They must be sealed with a rubber band.
Here is a custom made carry case bag for a shakuhachi flute. I had these designed specifically after the classical Japanese katana sword carry bag/cases. They are double-layered Luxury bags. Made of high quality polyester with a silky finish and beautiful metallic embroidery.

In 2002 I received the Japan United States Friendship Commission to study shakuhachi making and playing in Japan under Kinya Sogawa, who apprenticed with Chikusen Tamai, who also trained many of the top professional shakuhachi makers in Japan today. In 2014, I received the Asian Culture Council Award to continue my studies and research into the Edo Period flutes and Koten Honkyoku music in Japan.
